The largest made in this spectacular topper. The condition is marginal as some of the topial color has flaked off the topper. It still may be beautifully displayed, especially since if placing on a tree that has height to it, the condition will probably not be noticed. If you are crafty, you may be able to restore this to the original.

The topper is a colorful, hand-painted, blown-glass Christmas tree topper inspired by Venetian glass art. 15-1/2" Tall, Foot diameter of 3-3/4". Venice has been known for centuries as a home to skilled glass artisans known for their fanciful, colorful creations. The Venetian ornaments from Waterford Marquis are inspired by that style of glasswork--twists and spires of blown glass that are striped and dotted with carnival colors.

A tree decorated with these eye-catching dazzlers would be a wondrously unusual holiday sight. The Waterford Marquis Carnivale tree topper is a seven-tiered spire, onion-domed like something from Arabian Nights. The arts and architecture of Venice, the European terminus of the ancient east-west Silk Road trade route, have long been tinged with a fantastic Orientalism. The colors are evocative of Venice's pre-Lenten Carnivale festival: stripes and bead-like pastilles of emerald green, wine-tone reds, and amber and honey golds.
